I hate Oklahoma City. Howard Johnson sold the team to a man that he knew was going to move the team out of the Seattle market. While I am a hard-core Celtics fan, I always watched the Sonics and followed them. Now they are in Oklahoma City?! It was one of the saddest days in the northwest in sometime.
Well, now I hate that team sometimes more than the Lakers. But they're doing pretty good. But the only thing they have pretty mush is Kevin Durant. I know Russell Westbrook and Jeff Green, but that team is Kevin Durant. He is averaging 27 a game and appears to be on fire. They have a very low-scoring bench, one of the worst in the NBA in fact, and now they're facing off against the Celtics. Young teams, like the Suns, Hawks, Magic and Pacers seem to have had their way with us. The key is to stop the balanced effort that the young teams get against us. The bigger key is to stop Durant.
If we get this one, we will sweep an impressive road trip that includes wins over Miami and San Antonio. We are among the best again.
I got a chance to watch a little of the San Antonio game.
Perkins not only seems to be playing very well and very clutch, he is gifted offensively. When Shaquille O'Neal was in his prime, he was all force. He was almost no finesse. Perkins seems to know when to be strong, when to be quick and he knows when to shoot. That may have to do with Rajon Rondo being an unbelievable passer.
Rondo is still on fire and is quickly becoming my favorite player.
We seem to be playing the game that won the Spurs all their titles. Grinding defense and selective half-court offense, but maybe with a bit more speed with Rondo.
This game in Oklahoma City is going to be important for momentum.
